Take a quick look at the most popular types of men’s rings and their materials. Every ring at Trendhim has been tested for nickel and is safe to wear (nickel-free) according to European Union standards.
Stainless steel is a metal alloy made from iron, chromium and carbon. Stainless steel has many different uses from cookware to men’s jewellery and there are varying qualities of it being produced.
At Trendhim, we use the highest quality for our steel rings – 316L stainless steel, also known as surgical steel.
Stainless steel rings are the most popular rings for men and are worn for their durability and style. We use stainless steel so you don’t have to worry about your ring discolouring, fading, rusting or turning your finger green… even when you sweat.
Explore our selection of black, gunmetal-coloured, silver-tone and gold-tone stainless steel rings for men, and find the one to tell your story.
Titanium is a relatively new material in the world of men’s jewellery. Men’s titanium rings are extremely durable, harder to scratch than steel and highly resistant to corrosion. They have the strength of stainless steel without the density and extra weight.
Titanium rings weigh half as much as steel and are comfortably lightweight to wear – making them perfect for a wedding band or men’s engagement ring that you’ll have on every day.
Titanium is also hypoallergenic. Great news for guys with sensitive skin or metal allergies. (Plus… Titanium makes a great song title!)
Sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper or other metal alloys. Pure silver, on its own, is too soft to make jewellery with and copper is added to give it enough rigidity to hold its shape.
Sterling silver is popular for men’s wedding and engagement rings because of its shiny lustre. Of course, as with any jewellery made out of sterling silver, silver rings require polishing to maintain their shine.
For the look of a silver ring, without the trouble of keeping it polished, check out stainless steel rings for men. You’ll get the colour and high polish of a silver ring… but with the strength of steel and without the price tag of silver.
Tungsten weighs 4 times as much as steel and is twice as hard. You can trust that a men’s tungsten ring will be solid.
Tungsten rings are hard to scratch because tungsten is denser than steel or titanium. It’s comparable with rubies in hardness and can only be polished and finished with diamond compounds.
For ultimate strength, check that your tungsten ring isn't mixed with other materials.
Ceramic is an extremely lightweight material but extremely strong. You can expect your ceramic ring to be comfortable to wear all day and able to stand up to an active lifestyle.
Ceramic tiles are used on space shuttles to protect them during the harrowing reentry stage. If it’s good enough for space travel… it’s good enough for your finger.
Ceramic rings are resistant to scratches and are comparable in quality to tungsten rings.
Men’s ceramic rings are not fragile and are highly chemical resistant. They’re also hypoallergenic and ideal for sensitive skin or if you suffer allergic reactions to some metals.
Like a villain from James Bond playing with his gold ring during an intense game of high-stakes poker, there is an air of composure to a man who chooses to accessorise with gold rings.
Gold is a relatively soft metal that needs lots of maintenance. Trendhim offers a large selection of men’s gold-tone stainless steel rings and even gold-coloured titanium rings, in addition to gold-plated sterling silver. These provide the look and style of a gold ring without the maintenance and bank-busting price tag.
Despite its royal roots, men’s signet rings have evolved into bold fashion statements for today’s man. Consider them the quintessential gentleman’s ring (and the rings preferred by mob bosses everywhere).
Signet rings don't have to be expensive or even made of precious metals.
We use stainless steel for most of our designs and offer them in colours such as gold, silver, black or gunmetal. With a natural stone like Onyx or Tiger’s Eye, the signet ring you choose can be as unique as the story you’re telling.
Your style is unique… shouldn't your ring be too? Our skull rings are designed for men who want to stand out and separate from the pack.
Most of our skull rings are cast in one piece of solid stainless steel and range in sizes up to 26 mm in width. Whether you want zirconia stones for extra bling or highlighting that emphasises the details of the skull, we have the one to help you stand out.
And it’s not just bikers who appreciate the style that a skull ring brings. With hard-wearing stainless steel construction, every guy can find the skull ring that fits his look.
From Carnelian and Jasper to Onyx and Tiger’s Eye, wearing a men’s ring with a natural stone is the best way to add another level to your story and style.
At Trendhim, we source natural stones that combine legendary powers with the look that you’re after. Take Red Jasper for example. This stone is revered for its connection to courage and was even inlaid in the sword of the Viking dragon slayer, Sigurd. How’s that for a conversation starter?
At Trendhim, we show the inner circumference in mm, the US, and the UK size for the men’s rings we offer.
For example, we'll show ring size 62 / 10 / T ¹/₂, which means the ring has a circumference of 62 mm, US ring size 10, and UK ring size T ¹/₂.
If you're uncertain about your actual ring size, we recommend the following method to measure your finger.
How to Measure Your Finger for Your Ring Size
1. Cut a short piece of string. Wrap it around your finger, the way you want the ring to fit, for an accurate measurement. Don't wrap it too tightly. Aim for a comfortable, snug fit.
2. Mark with a pen where the string overlaps.
3. Remove the string and measure the distance between the marks. This is your finger's circumference.
Finger sizes vary throughout the year as temperatures change. The ideal fit should be a little firm when it’s warm out and a little loose when it’s cooler.
If you’re shopping for a gift for him and you can’t measure his finger, you’ll have to guess his ring size. The most common size for a man’s ring is a T1/2 (UK size) or 62.33 (EU size) or a 10 (US size).
The most common widths for men’s rings fall between 6 and 8 mm. That’s the best width to start with for everything from wedding bands to signet rings for men.
While it may be risky to order without knowing his exact size (or unsure of yours), as long as it’s not engraved, you can return the ring for a better size with our 365-day return policy.
Men's rings have gone through a mighty evolution in the last years, thanks to new technology that permits the production of creative designs with a myriad of patterns and specific themes to choose from.
Men’s rings now run the gamut from blinged-out rings to the badassery of a skull ring that would make any biker jealous.
From over-sized signet rings worthy of blood-thirsty pirates to elegantly masculine rings adorned with glass diamonds, we’re certain you’ll find something in our collection to reflect your keen sense of fashion and your unique story.
You’re free to wear a ring on whichever finger you want. Each finger represents something different altogether, and wearing rings on certain fingers can become conversation starters.
Knowing how you will be represented with your accessories will ensure the best first impression.
